The #FireOS that #Amazon tablets & streaming sticks run is based on #android but doesn’t have google’s play store, has an unpleasant interface that runs very slowly & is full of ads & telemetry. Every time I use a #FireTv device it’s painful but I’m usually just launching #Kodi then living there (and credit where credit is due, the FireTV remotes are pretty good). I’ve owned two Kindle Fire tablets and they were both so unusably bad. It’s a shame it isn’t easy to install stock android or #linux

Apparently I haven’t used or updated it since 2019, and I have to do each #Android / #FireOS update one at a time.

Alguém sabe dizer se existe estatística sobre TVs que rodam aplicativos #Android no Brasil (i.e., que usam #androidtv #FireOS, etc.)?
Eu andei experimentando na minha (que é Fire OS), e eu precisaria mexer uma ou duas coisas só para o miniTruco (https://github.com/chesterbr/minitruco-android) rodar na TV (essencialmente implementar navegação pelo teclado/controle remoto na mesa de jogo; todo o resto usa componentes default e funciona), mas não sei se estou a fim de fazer isso se eu for a única pessoa jogando...
