Two more photos that I like from last week's LBM, where I cosplayed Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII.

Sarah on the first photo is partly responsible for me becoming a cosplayer instead of limiting myself to making props, which is where it started. Can't believe this was the first time I met her in an outfit - we've known each other for quite a few years now.

The lady on the second photo was very fascinated by the gunblade. :D I was recognized quite often this time and talked to quite a few people about Final Fantasy stuff, but I'm always especially happy when someone is interested in the gunblade and the transformation mechanism since that is what I spent the most time on. You can see both forms on these photos, even though it's not fully transformed to gun form on the first photo since one of the mechanisms currently needs maintenance.

I really had a great time at the LBM / MCC. When I started 1.5 years ago, I had the illusion of going to LBM 2024 in cosplay. It took another three months until I had a version that I could show. So it was cool to go there this year, now with an almost finished version. It's a huge event, but I like how well the book people and the anime / manga / cosplay people mix. Even among those not in cosplay (and there are MANY cosplayers!) there's a lot of people with wigs or ears or just cool outfits and it's just a very friendly atmosphere.

Cada uno de ellos realiza un análisis en retrospectiva y añade datos muy interesantes de todos y cada uno de los Final Fantasy de la serie principal que se han publicado hasta el día de hoy. Se trata de un youtuber poco conocido que hasta hace unos años se dedicaba a subir walkthroughs comentados de sus juegos favoritos. Algo que me gusta de él es que se nota que no se deja llevar por las tendencias, si no más bien por sus gustos personales y amor por los videojuegos. Me pareció interesante, ya que recientemente Square-Enix está volviendo a generar rumores de un posible remake del Final Fantasy IX original de PSX (PS1). La duración de los vídeos oscila entre los 30m y 1h50m aproximadamente, por lo que algunos dan para refresco y palomitas. Los vídeos están en inglés, pero se entiende bastante bien para mi gusto. Yo los usaba hace años para mejorar mi oido. ¡Que lo disfrutéis!

Here's another photo from yesterday's LBM visit, with Reno from FF VII. This one was taken in the glass hall, where a lot of cosplayers meet. It's a weird location. It has the best photo spots, but it's also much louder and much warmer than the other exhibition halls. You can tell how much sun gets in there by my glasses, which started to turn dark because of the UV light.

@Htbaa ah man I hated XV so much but I'm a HUGE fan of XIV... so when it was announced that Yoshi P and parts of the XIV crew, (Soken and the #Heavensward writers) would be doing XVI, I kinda expected it to somehow blow my mind like XIV did. I see it as my own fault 😅

I do consider myself a FF-fan though. Played through most of them but, for me personally, #Shadowbringers and #Endwalker were the absolute peak FF experience! 🥰👌🏽

Here's one of my favorite photos of yesterday's visit to LBM / MCC. Since the auto focus failed, it's probably technically the worst, but I was really happy to find someone cosplaying a character from Metaphor: ReFantazio so here's Lightning and the protagonist, captured a little tired and shortly before the end of the day.

She said there were others, too, and apparently there was a little (impromptu?) meet-up with Hulkenberg, Junah, Strohl and her. I recently wondered why there seemed to be not many Metaphor cosplays so that was nice to hear and I'll watch out for them at future cons. I wonder if someone does Eupha.
