🧠🤯 Ah, yes, the profound life #lessons from a stroke: #Nautilus delivers yet another deep dive into the obvious! Because nothing screams #enlightenment like a health crisis. But hey, join their #newsletter and maybe you'll have your own #epiphany from indigestion! 🥴📬

Unfortunately, the webkit2gtk update on #ubuntu broke some keybindings and UI font rendering:

bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sou

In the meantime, I've switched over to the #epiphany #flatpak

To get accent colors to work, I added the following to ~/.config/gtk-4.0/gtk.css

@define-color accent_color #308280;
@define-color accent_bg_color #308280;

And then used #flatseal to give Web permissions to "xdg-config/gtk-4.0".

#GNOME Web is truly independent from #Google. Though still dependent on #Apple, they don't have as much power as Google. It is still better than a Google monopoly. And #webkit is developed with proper APIs and meant to be embedded in other applications unlike Google's #blink.

One big feature missing is support for audio / video calls (webrtc). With #BoringSSL switching to Apache 2.0, a big blocker for webrtc support is resolved.

¡Salió @gnome 48! Y yo vuelvo a probar #Web.

Although it lacks vi/vim navigation, #epiphany does have a number of keyboard shortcuts (Control-? brings up a modal with 3 pages worth of them).

Moreover, it supports swiping left and right on the touchpad to go backwards and forwards in history, which I've found really handy.

Honestly, it's been a pretty good experience thus far :}

I managed to enable web extension support in #epiphany with the following command:

$ gsettings set org.gnome.Epiphany.web:/org/gnome/epiphany/web/ enable-webextensions true

This allowed me to install ublock origin and redirector... but neither appear to work :{

Still, I'm mostly OK with the experience thus far.
