Pressemitteilung des Deutschen Hanf Verbandes (DHV) Mit dem Sieg von Georg Wurth bei der Millionärswahl von Pro7 und Sat.1 am vergangenen Samstag feiert der Deutsche Hanf Verband einen seiner bisher größten Erfolge. Mit dem Gewinn wird der DHV die Debatte um einen sinnvolleren Umgang mit Cannabis in Deutschland vorantreiben. Georg Wurth erklärt hierzu: „Wir müssen über Cannabis diskutieren und dafür möchte ich die Million einsetzen. Die Politik muss sich endlich dieser Debatte stellen. In Colorado wird inzwischen völlig legal Cannabis verkauft, der US-Bundesstaat Washington und Uruguay als erste Nation sind gerade dabei, die entsprechenden Beschlüsse umzusetzen. Dies zeigt, dass eine andere Cannabispolitik möglich ist! Es geht nicht um eine Verharmlosung von Cannabis, sondern um eine Alternative zum Verbot. Die Cannabisprohibition ist gescheitert, schädlich und teuer – wir möchten den bestehenden Schwarzmarkt durch einen regulierten Markt mit Jugend- und Verbraucherschutz ersetzen.

InstagramClimate Liberation Aotearoa on Instagram: "🔥 Our blockade at Stockton Mine ended this evening. For over 60 hours we stayed in coal cars and prevented Bathurst Resources’ mine from operating. All climbers, part of a 70-strong protest encampment that spanned generations, from eight months old to 74 years, have been charged by police alongside five other protesters for Trespass. We’ll keep fighting this mine. We’ve stalled at least two days of coal extraction, sent a clear message to Bathurst and the government, and shown that people are ready to resist the Fast Track Act and the climate-wrecking projects it enables. ⛏️ 💨 Bathurst Resources want to mine Denniston Plateau and remove 20 million tonnes of coking coal that will be sent offshore. Their open cast mine will destroy this beautiful wild space and all the creatures that live there. Support has poured in from across the motu, and local folks have backed us by bringing baking, offering places to sleep, and sharing their own frustrations with the mine. Our resolve is stronger than ever. The climbers’ action prompted a response from Resources Minister Shane Jones, who attempted to justify coal expansion with misleading claims about domestic energy needs—despite the fact that the coal in question is for export. This isn’t just about one minister, his comments reflect a deeper truth: this government is doubling down on fossil fuels at the exact moment we need to be scaling up renewables. The encampment, which included people from Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Nelson and beyond, has now disbanded.
