I’ve been desperately trying to assemble all the items I have already cut the felt for ages ago. Once that’s done, I will need to remake some keychains. THEN, I will finally be able to start working on my little magnets!
I swear I am so excited to drop them but my part time job takes up most of my mornings and it’s slowing me down so much
Those vinyl packages, that pillowcases come in, are perfect for taking your stitching on the road.

A very noble and worthy opus.
Now, I'm not compiling a league table here but surely this:

is at least equivalent in geek?
One of my favorite pocket pals to date!

A while back, @gwenbeads posted about the book “A Stitch in Line: Mathematics and One-Stitch Sashiko” by Katherine Seaton, and it was so relevant to my interests I had to get hold of it. I’ve been working through it ever since, stitching the samplers and playing with the maths.
I’m currently paused at the end of chapter 8 as I wait for new thread (Retors d’Alsace!!!) to arrive for the next sampler. Here’s a photo of all my samplers so far, done on my hand-dyed muslin scraps; my plan is to patchwork them all together into a hanging once I’ve finished.
Gwen’s review of the book is in a paywalled journal, but she’s put a link to free copies (of the review, not the book) here: https://mathstodon.xyz/@gwenbeads/114094206288896863

They are not identical but close enough!
Next steps for the two pattern pieces, marking the seam allowance and trimming.
I will double check the dress fit on my muslin dress before I cut the silk.
And more photos of my Sunday #museum work on the #ScrollBook. People's reactions were interesting: from almost undisguised laughing by people unfamiliar with art to great conversations with interested people and enthusiastic children.
The stem stitch is the perfect embroidery stitch for curves.
Any Q*Bert fan around here ?

I'm selling gilt spangles on etsy because I had to buy 10g of each and only needed about 3g. And sequins were even worse. Shipping is cheap in the european union, the rest...not so. sorry! #Embroidery #GoldworkEmbroidery #GiltSpangles #GoldSequins

Umsetzung bin)
One side is finished! Getting so close I can taste it! I did the fat side first so I'd get the skinnier side will feel lightning fast by comparison.
I was very worried I'd not have enough of the bugle beads to finish (a problem with Joanne's closing!) but I should have enough to finish.
I'll probably need to frog one section on a curve where the beads are popping. You push one down and another one pops up. It is very temping to snug them up but they need more room than you think! Tiny adjustments to boot, a millimeter here or there, just enough for a bit of movement.
My Black Sea, mined, polluted, tortured. Home to over two thousand species, despite having no oxygen on the bottom of it. The excitement of seeing dolphins play near the shore, diving for rapa shells, now memories of the past.
In their colonial conquest, russians burn, kill and demolish everything. Then repopulate the ashes with their own that are willing to bark for a bag of buckwheat.
"Goghing Dutch" teableau for 03/30/25
This tea cozy cover was the very first one I bought from The Family Busyness on Etsy, thereby launching my mania for tea cozy covers & inspiring this peculiar teableau hobby.
