Good article in The Prospect about the coming STABLE and GENIUS acts, which will give an implicit bail out guarantee to crypto money laundering firms - sorry, i mean "stablecoins" - like #Tether and #Circle (#Coinbase). One of the two would also let #ElonMusk print his own dollars.
Senate #Democrats like #KirstenGillibrand, #ElissaSlotkin, and #RubenGallego, whose election campaigns were supported by incredible amounts of crypto money, will probably make sure these bills become laws (because they are corrupt).
Note that stablecoins are currently incredibly profitable businesses. After all a stablecoin is basically a bank where you spend nothing on anti-money laundering & other regulations, refuse to assist customers who have been scammed, and collect 5% interest from the US government while passing absolutely none of it on to your customers.

[The ex-#CIA officer] #Slotkin is quite familiar—as a #woman, as a #Jew, as the daughter of a woman who came out late in life as a #lesbian—with the plight of certain constituencies within her party’s coalition. It’s simply a matter of emphasis: Slotkin sees electoral success as the path to addressing America’s injustices, not the other way around.

#ElissaSlotkin’s formula has never been a secret. Her campaign for #Senate last year—essentially a scaled-up version of her 3 heavily contested & tactically celebrated campaigns for the #House—was built around one organizing theme: the middle class. Everything she talks about, be it #health-care costs or the #Jan6 #insurrection, comes back to the #economic security of everyday Americans.
I hate to say it, but I'm starting to feel like Democrat party congress people are too afraid to stick their neck out and risk their career to actually do anything to defend the things they purport to care about.
In short: a job program for the elderly.
Elissa Slotkin's response to Trump wasn't wrong, but it was pretty toothless. She is afraid to take a hit.
The DNC better learn to figure out how to punch, because they get zero donations from me until they do
