Robee? Na! 🌈<p>Printing a quite-full 500x500mm build plate full of ABS parts that are prone to warping and peeling off, plus a bunch of them are very small, what could possibly go wrong? <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/ERCF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ERCF</span></a></p>
Thomas Sanladerer<p>There are some unlikely filament pairings that will make your life much easier if you use them right. Here&#39;s what I found works for easily peelable support material and for permanent bonds! <br /><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/MMU" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MMU</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ERCF" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ERCF</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AMF" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AMF</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Multimaterial" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Multimaterial</span></a><br /><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VV2fbJ0apg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=5VV2fbJ0ap</span><span class="invisible">g</span></a></p>
Dr Footleg (he/him)<p>The next challenge is the software set up. This seems very poorly documented compared to the build guide. I may have to get involved in helping improve that. I have not found anywhere that mentioned you need to build and flash firmware to the board. I guessed this was needed from having run into this headache on my Voron 0.2 build. Found the manual for the BTT MMB board online which details how to do this, but no mention this was needed in the kit or ERCF documentation. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ERCF" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ERCF</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Voron" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Voron</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3Dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>3Dprinting</span></a></p>
Dr Footleg (he/him)<p>The LEDs provided in the Siboor ERCFv2 kit have had me stumped for a while, but no more. The kit came with 3 LED chains but only one socket to plug them into. They need to be chained to all work so with some soldering on of extra wires I have built a Franken lead to run them all off the one socket. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ercf</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>But that means I've got more time to work on my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> again! After replacing the cheap underpowered piece of garbage called MG90S servo with a 25€ servo, it works better and better!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>While still in progress with my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a>, I'm going to build an <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/lhstinger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lhstinger</span></a>! After seeing it live at the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/MakerFaireHannover" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MakerFaireHannover</span></a> and the kit being on sale right now, I can't resist having a *fast* and supposedly reliable and accurate printer! I'd also happily sell my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ArtilleryGenius" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ArtilleryGenius</span></a>, but I bet nobody would buy it for what I would expect for it.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>Excitement is down... From my 7 supposedly working gates, all but one don't let filament through (the traps seem to be fcked up). And the encoder also doesn't let filament through. Yay! But those are problems for a future me as I won't be home for 3 days</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>My <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> didn't explode on first power up and movements! This is exciting!</p><p>Now waiting for a Bowden coupler to finish</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p><p>Also runs smoothly after increasing the stepper currents by 0.2 amps (from stock 0.5) 🙈</p>
Mawoka<p>Started the next round of "starting to stretch my luck" <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>Omg! This is soo cute! <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>Odds of this print going well? It's supposed to take 6 hours. Abs, enclosure and gluestick will hopefully lead to success. <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>My poor <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Neptune4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Neptune4</span></a> is chugging along, one print after another, all for the goal of having the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> working! Still quite some parts and hours (more like days) of printing to go, as having only 1 abs-capable printer with a relatively small build plate takes some time.</p>
Mawoka<p>As I'm building my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a>, I don't know which color should be the main and with the accent one. Please help me decide!</p><p>Poll is in reply.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a></p>
Dr Footleg (he/him)<p>ERCF progress. Almost fully assembled now. Just wiring and LED mounting to do and I can start working on the software configuration. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Voron" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Voron</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ERCF" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ERCF</span></a></p>
Mawoka<p>I've got myself a <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> kit for my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/3dprinter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinter</span></a> 🙈. It's the one from <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/trianglelabs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>trianglelabs</span></a>. We'll see how it'll work out for my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/neptune4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neptune4</span></a>. Or my Artillery Genius? Maybe even portable? See you in 2 weeks after holiday.</p><p>I got it today, as the kit was only 114€ for 9 colors.</p>
amd<p>Anyone out there have a <a href="https://social.amd.im/tags/ercf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ercf</span></a> v2 build going or done? </p><p>Looking for your thoughts on it so far, I’m thinking I’m going to start one up. </p><p><a href="https://social.amd.im/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://social.amd.im/tags/mmu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mmu</span></a> <a href="https://social.amd.im/tags/Voron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Voron</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://techhub.social/@3dprinting" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>3dprinting</span></a></span></p>
