Stefan Bohacek<p>If you run a Mastodon server you probably already know about some of the existing tools for collectively managed domain blocks.</p><p>As an alternative, I created a simple Python script that lets you copy public domain blocks from servers you trust for an easy import.</p><p><a href="https://stefanbohacek.com/project/mastodon-domain-block-exporter-script/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">stefanbohacek.com/project/mast</span><span class="invisible">odon-domain-block-exporter-script/</span></a></p><p>Keeping your community safe should be a number one priority!</p><p><a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/FediAdmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FediAdmin</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mastodon</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/MastoAdmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MastoAdmin</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/DomainBlocks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DomainBlocks</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/safety" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>safety</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>community</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>opensource</span></a></p>
Stefan Bohacek<p>If this is helpful to anyone, I recently made a tool that lets you copy blocklists from Mastodon servers that publicly share this information in a format that can be imported to your own server, if you're an admin.</p><p>A use case for this would be: I trust the admin of XYZ.social, l want to block all the same servers they're blocking.</p><p><a href="https://stefanbohacek.com/project/mastodon-domain-block-exporter-script/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">stefanbohacek.com/project/mast</span><span class="invisible">odon-domain-block-exporter-script/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/MastoAdmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MastoAdmin</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/MastoAdmins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MastoAdmins</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/safety" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>safety</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/FediblockMeta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FediblockMeta</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/DomainBlocks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DomainBlocks</span></a></p>
Stefan Bohacek<p>I wrote a little Python script that downloads domain blocks from a specified Mastodon server and saves them as a CSV file that can be imported to your own server. In case this is something you need.</p><p><a href="https://github.com/stefanbohacek/mastodon-domain-block-exporter-script" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/stefanbohacek/masto</span><span class="invisible">don-domain-block-exporter-script</span></a></p><p><a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mastodon</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/MastoAdmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MastoAdmin</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/MastoAdmins" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MastoAdmins</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/DomainBlocks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DomainBlocks</span></a> <a href="https://stefanbohacek.online/tags/fediblock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fediblock</span></a></p>

Nathan M<p>ahh, I really love the mute feature of mastodon. Months back I complained that if websites wanted to continue using tw/x links for cross-posting I'd start filtering that content out. Mute makes this super easy, and all the other controls are awesome here on mastodon. <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/migratenow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>migratenow</span></a> <a href="https://allthingstech.social/tags/domainblocks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>domainblocks</span></a></p>
