Jack Linke 🦄<p>Finally, I should mention that if I missed an opportunity to chat with you or cut conversation/plans short at <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/DjangoCon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DjangoCon</span></a> this past fall, it wasn't you.</p><p>I experienced two different frightening medical issues and spent far too many hours in the midst of the conference at the urgent care and ER, so I was not nearly at my best. Thankfully both are managed now, but it was a frightening experience.</p><p>Being among the wonderful <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/Django" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Django</span></a> community that week was a true comfort and good distraction.</p>
Jack Linke 🦄<p>At <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/DjangoCon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DjangoCon</span></a> US this past Fall, I had three different conversations where folks encouraged me to consider giving a talk on how I got started with <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/Django" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Django</span></a> and <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a>.</p><p>Over the following couple months I mulled over those conversations, and in December one of my two talk proposals to <a href="https://social.jacklinke.com/tags/PyCon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyCon</span></a> was on this topic.</p><p>The proposal was accepted, and I am delighted that I will be able to talk to the Python community and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@pycon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>pycon</span></a></span> this May!</p>
