Ziemlich coole Bildersequenz, die von der Esa-Raumsonde Hera zwischen dem 10. und 15.10. aufgenommen wurde. In den Infrarotbildern sind Erde und Mond zu sehen. Beim Mond kann man sehen, wie er in der Zeitspanne vom Halbmond zum Vollmond wird: 🌓 ➡️ 🌕

Hera ist Anfang Oktober gestartet und auf dem Weg zu den Doppelasteroiden Didymos und Dimorphos.

The spacecraft's instruments have been checked out and it has gone through the first trajectory correction maneuver to set up for the #Mars flyby early next year; where it will do some #Deimos science in passing.

Heute um 16:52 Uhr wird die #Esa Raumsonde #Hera starten. Ihr Ziel ist der Asteroid #Didymos und sein Mond #Dimorphos. Die #Nasa hatte vor 3 Jahren durch einen Impakt auf Dimorphos seine Umlaufbahn um Didymos um ~32 Minuten vermindert. Hera wird die Auswirkungen dieses Experiments nach ihrer Ankunft bei dem Doppelasteroiden 2026 genauer untersuchen.
