This, in spite of it being kinda quirky & charming. Which...isn't really my take on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/DeLillo" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DeLillo</span></a>, in general. </p><p>Gonna have to go back and rewatch Cosmopolis now. My memory of it was it being somewhat 'meh'. But apparently I rated it 4 out of 5 stars at the time. Hrmph. Perhaps Cronenberg tricked me. I didn't care for the book. Partially bc I was madly in love with <a href="https://bbq.snoot.com/tags/DeLillo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DeLillo</span></a>'s <a href="https://bbq.snoot.com/tags/Underworld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Underworld</span></a> & they're very different. If I had a Franzen itch, White Noise would scratch it. Speaking - I had NO idea <a href="https://bbq.snoot.com/tags/TheCorrections" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TheCorrections</span></a> was already made into a film?!! Imdb says 2012. (I did love this book). And look who the director is.</p>

Mark Sample<p>In the end, the man's obsession with Hitler was his downfall. His wife, who had always been afraid of dying, finally found the strength to leave him. And their son, who had once gone on a 5-hour crying jag, grew up to be a strong and compassionate young man. As the man sat alone in his empty house, surrounded by his Nazi memorabilia, he realized that he had lost everything that mattered to him. He was consumed by regret and sorrow, and he knew that he would never be able to regain what he had lost. The man's life was a tragic reminder of the dangers of obsession and the importance of family.
