En lugar de solo ver la línea del VIX, hoy analizamos su "distribución de probabilidad" por Presidencia de EE.UU. (Clinton -> Trump 2º). ¡La forma lo es todo!

Usando #rstats y #ggplot2, estas densidades facetadas nos permiten investigar:
* Modos Dominantes: ¿Cuál era el nivel "normal" de VIX (el pico más alto)? ¿Cambió mucho?
* Multi-modalidad: ¿Hay evidencia de múltiples estados de volatilidad (picos secundarios) dentro de un mismo mandato?
* Riesgo de Cola: ¿Qué tan probable era el "pánico" (VIX > 35)? ¡Compara las colas derechas!

Estos patrones reflejan los distintos regímenes de volatilidad y la percepción del riesgo sistémico. No es solo el nivel, ¡sino la "estructura" de la incertidumbre lo que importa!

Missed yesterday so a double today from a few years ago. My husband got me a paint by numbers squirrel with lots of bright colours for Christmas so I printed off an outline of a deer and a penguin then filled them in the style of StevenArt Highland cows. Was a bit of fun in the holidays.

Wait. How did you think I learned about tasting whisky?

I kid, I kid. I was already more than passably familiar with brown spirits before this fun & informative book was published. Struck me I hadn't posed a dram with it yet in this exercise, so here it is for day 10.

The 8-track is a data carrier that was incredibly popular in the US & Canada b/w the late 60s-early 80s but remained unknown in most of the rest of the world. With development partners including Ford, the carrier was specifically designed for the use case automobile. The 8-Track was an endless tape you’d never have to rewind or flip over.

My specimen is a beautiful pink case release of Roberta Fleck‘s 1972 album Killing Me Softly. Total playing time is 41min11s.

Healer. I rewatched it 2x in 2024
Flower Of Evil. A great K-drama but it's not rewatching material imho. All the suspense is gone.
Happiness. I loved the rewatch as much as the first watch.
Mr Plankton. I did an immediate rewatch. Once you know where the character came from certain things even make more sense.
