Как жить без IntelliJ IDEA? Часть №4. Database Client
Did you folks know that #datagrip is in #JetBrainsRider?
When executing queries, you can view results in table format or click “Switch to Chart" to display data in various visualizations, including line, pie, and bar charts.
I have just published packages for #JetBrains #DataGrip, #dotTrace, #dotMemory, and #github-cli, for #Guix.
Previously packaged #Rider and #dotnet, and things are looking promising for developing .NET on Guix.
I probably won't have time to test it properly until January,
Get some errors when trying Azure CLI, so I need to look closer into that.
#mono is notably missing, but I'm confused about Mono Project, #wine fork and the .NET runtime mono repository.
How I stopped worrying and became a polyglot programmer
How do you work with #sql #databases ? I mostly use a GUI like #dbeaver or #DataGrip. Do you know of a nice #console GUI?
Farewell to #debugging headaches

What's the best plugin to view and query databases in #nvim #neovim? Something like #datagrip from #jetbrains but for the console.
TIL, that you can group #SQL statements together in #JetBrains #DataGrip with BEGIN and END, and immediately execute them with Ctrl-Enter. I had this "problem" for so many years, and finally today I was so annoyed by having to select the statements "by hand", that I finally searched for another solution. Not really a surprise: it's there ... What took me so long?
I may have some projects coming up using DB2. While looking into #IntelliJ from #jetbrains for some #java projects, I came across #DataGrip. I see it has the ability to connect to DB2... Is anyone aware of issues, concerns, gotchas, etc., if the DB2 database is running on AIX?
I've been living in the Microsoft development world for many years now and I haven't touched Java or DB2 in a very, very long time...
Anyone for a good alternative to #DataGrip on #Linux? I'm excluding MySQLWorkbench, DBeaver, PHPMyAdmin and Adminer.
Any GUI that does the job well and does not crash? #database #SQL
I want to be able to use #Postgresql
#DataGrip is buggy to the point of being unusable. I am surprised that this is a paid product and not some app on its alpha-testing stage.
The autocomplete is really bad, dialect support for #ClickHouse is minimal and the thing crashes from simplest actions.
I could probably live with all of that, but DataGrip is the only app that *flickers* on my external screen. This happens every 10 seconds I am using the app and just renders it useless for me.
I expected so much more from it, wow.
You can even right-click on a column and choose "Set Highlighting Language" to get full-blown syntax highlighting in columns. The #dataGrip team and #JetBrainsRider development teams are awesome.
If you're using #JetBrains products and are doing #SQL things, you should give #DataGrip a look.
Why?
Because it has a small but useful features that have a big impact.
Here are some of my favorites:
Warn for unsafe queries (delete or updates without where clause)
@khalidabuhakmeh I hope you might be able to point me to an answer about #DataGrip Does the #Kafka integration with Big Data Tools plugin work in the same fashion as Offset Explorer?
Trying out #Redis support in #JetBrains Rider. Seems to work really nicely. Also available in #DataGrip.
