So on Wednesday we basically won. The #Tucson city council voted to totally KILL the proposed Amazon-operated #hyperscale #datacenter known as "Project Blue". In fact, the vote was *unanimous* to kill it, including the mayor.

of course it's not totally over, there wil be other attempts to build these monstrosities in our area, and all over the place. But this is an inspiring victory.
Railroads and fiber were relatively long-lasting #infrastructure assets, justifying the money spent on them without short-term huge rental premiums required.
#AI data centers are perishable, more like storing bananas, where if you don't use them quickly, they rapidly become fly-ridden and inedible.
