Eryck Gu⸸⸸eЯaL<p>Woo! All my custom string sets from <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DRstrings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DRstrings</span></a> finally came in. Along with the tapewounds from <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/LaBella" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LaBella</span></a>. Maybe tonight I'll throw them on.</p><p>Also, bought a Greco GS940 <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/semihollow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>semihollow</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/shortscale" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>shortscale</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/bass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bass</span></a> that I'm going to convert into a <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/fretless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fretless</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/cello" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cello</span></a>. That'll arrive in a few weeks. </p><p>Another <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/electricBass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>electricBass</span></a> will be on it's way soon. Details to follow. 😜</p><p>Oh. I decided on a whim to buy a new used <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Behringer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Behringer</span></a> graphicEQ and <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DBX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DBX</span></a> compressor+limiter+noise gate. I feel like I stole them they were so cheap but, I know they were sitting around for a long time.</p><p>Traded in a hard case that came w/ my <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Ibanez" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ibanez</span></a> bass.</p><p>It's certainly been a <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/NGD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NGD</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/newGearDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>newGearDay</span></a> !</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/musicEquipment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>musicEquipment</span></a></p>
Eryck Gu⸸⸸eЯaL<p>I have an epiphany. No, not the web browser.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/GHSstrings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GHSstrings</span></a> half round on the bottom of my 6-string <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitar</span></a>. Make it G# standard. The rest are flatwounds. .22g wound topmost</p><p>Double up courses a la <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/12string" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>12string</span></a> but, only the top 3. Plain (neon white) <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DRstrings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DRstrings</span></a> +1 octave.</p><p>Tailpiece &amp; bridge rattle. I adjusted what I could. Slightly better.<br>Replace w/ <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Bigsby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bigsby</span></a> vibrato &amp; <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Schaller" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Schaller</span></a> bridge. File custom ridges &amp; lube for strings.<br>Replace nut. Black natural material.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/musicEquipment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>musicEquipment</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/baritoneGuitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>baritoneGuitar</span></a></p>
Mike SmaleEven at their decent adult size, this <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dilophosaurus?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dilophosaurus</a> is still having a hard time moving to the bass from the mandolin.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dinosaurs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dinosaurs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Bass?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Bass</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/BassGuitar?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#BassGuitar</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Fender?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Fender</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DRStrings?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DRStrings</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/OldToys?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#OldToys</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RecordingStudio?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RecordingStudio</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DinosaurToys?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DinosaurToys</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/OldToys?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#OldToys</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/HomeStudio?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HomeStudio</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/BehindTheScenes?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#BehindTheScenes</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Nedry?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Nedry</a>
Eryck Gu⸸⸸eЯaL<p>I'm debating turning my <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/GLguitars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GLguitars</span></a> Fallout <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/shortscale" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>shortscale</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/bassguitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bassguitar</span></a> into a <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/PiccoloBass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PiccoloBass</span></a>. Tuned as:<br>B1 - .024<br>E2 - .036<br>A2 - .046<br>D3 - .060<br>G3 - .080</p><p>The tension would likely be closer to that of a longscale but, it'd still be one octave up with thinner strings. With <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/DRstrings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DRstrings</span></a>, Neons, the bottom two would be roundcore bass while the rest hexcore guitar strings. </p><p>With a <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/Kahler" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kahler</span></a> *vibrato* bridge / whammy bar, it'd certainly be a unique, odd in-between instrument.</p>
