DesertFOX<p>Okay, ich konnte meiner Sammlung im großen Internet Archive heute doch noch einige interessante, klassische DOS-Versionen hinzugefügen. Glücklicherweise alles perfekt lesbare Originaldisketten in schönem Zustand. </p><p><a href="https://archive.org/details/@dfxthomas" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">archive.org/details/@dfxthomas</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>Das bringt mein Verzeichnis jetzt, Stand heute, übrigens auf über 320 Retro-Uploads. Spiele, Betriebssysteme und Anwendungen. Und es wächst weiter...</p><p>Viel Spaß!</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/InternetArchive" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>InternetArchive</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Sammlung" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sammlung</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Emulation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Emulation</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGames</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/80s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>80s</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/90s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>90s</span></a></p>
😎</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/IBM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IBM</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/IBMPC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IBMPC</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Disketten" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Disketten</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Preservation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Preservation</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Emulation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Emulation</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/86Box" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>86Box</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGames</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DOSGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/KryoFlux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KryoFlux</span></a></p>

Jake in the desert<p>Today (May 5) in 1992, Wolfenstein 3D was released for DOS. There are very few things as satisfying as killing digital Nazis. </p><p>I was asked to talk about Wolfenstein 3D a while back on the <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://dosgame.club/@dosgameclub" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>dosgameclub</span></a></span> podcast (<a href="https://www.dosgameclub.com/wolfenstein3d" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">dosgameclub.com/wolfenstein3d</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>) with <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://dosgame.club/@Tijn" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>Tijn</span></a></span> and some other folks-- that was a blast. </p><p>I still play the DOS version of Wolf 3D sometimes myself, and sometimes the Xbox 360 version on the Series X. And sure, you could buy the original for just a dollar or two on Steam. But you can also download it for FREE (or play it for free in your browser via DOSBox) at one of my all-time favorite sites on the web, DOS Gaming dot com, here: <a href="https://dosgames.com/game/wolfenstein-3d" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">dosgames.com/game/wolfenstein-</span><span class="invisible">3d</span></a>. </p><p>Additionally, Wolfenstein 3D has been archived here at archive dot org! <a href="https://archive.org/details/wolfenstein3d_202105" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/details/wolfenstei</span><span class="invisible">n3d_202105</span></a></p><p>💥</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/Wolfenstein3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wolfenstein3D</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/DOSGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DOSGames</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/90s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>90s</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/90sGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>90sGames</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/fps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fps</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/1990s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>1990s</span></a></p>

Bio Menace has been remastered by Apogee and is coming to Steam later this year 🔥🔥 (video via dosgamert, a nice dude and an excellent YouTube follow, as he does lots of playthroughs of DOS games and often posts exclusives like this that you'll see first on his channel.)

First of all, never thought it would be possible to play a mid 90s DOS game on a 2023 MacBook Pro M3.

Secondly, 30 years later, i need to finish this game. Things happened, never got to it.

Hocus Pocus (1994) is a magical action-platformer that combines classic side-scrolling gameplay with a whimsical storyline. As an apprentice wizard, you collect crystals to win your place on the Council of Wizards and the heart of your beloved. Rob Wallace's charming soundtrack enhances the fantasy ambiance.

Tonight, I uploaded the classic DOS game of "Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension" to the Internet Archive. I also found, restored and shared the complete Zool "PC Addendum".

Although Zool was originally a popular Amiga title from 1992, in 1993 it was ported to the IBM-PC. The game was released on a single 3.5 inch 720K floppy disk. If you love colourful retro platformers and Chupa Chups candy, then Zool is the perfect fit for you!

Have fun!
