This is reason number one billion to hate #clickbait headlines. My phone suggested this today and it's an article warning you not to click "something" if you see it, but not explaining what the "something" is and requiring you to click "this something" instead to find that out. This is not helpful. This is the opposite of helpful. This won't educate people to not carelessly click shit if you have to take a risk by clicking shit first.

🎩✨ Behold, a 32-billion-dollar #playbook 🥳—because nothing says "cybersecurity expertise" like recycling #buzzwords in a never-ending "part series." Keep clicking, because who doesn't want to be reminded of their favorite self-appointed growth guru? 🙄💸

First, this phenomenon (microseismic blip every 26 seconds originating off the coast of West Africa) is super interesting. Second, the article is nicely written.

Third, which scientists, exactly, were "stunned?" Was it the one who discovered this in the 1960s? The ones who knew about it and published in the 1980s? The ones who published about it again in 2006? So many stunned scientists.

Remembering that reporters almost never write headlines. This reporter needs a different editor.

Our US boycott correspondent writes of a new target: "Known as being the home of 'Famous Louisiana Chicken', founded in New Orleans in 1972, this latest opening marks the brand's 76th location since first landing in the UK in 2021, and the 11th opening in the country this year."
