Edward ChampionI'm pleased to report that I finally finished reading Samuel Richardson's extremely massive motherfucking novel CLARISSA today. It's the 200th book I've read in 2025. I think that you have to be more than a little insane to read it in the 21st century (especially because Lovelace is so detestable), but I am glad that I made the journey. It is a masterpiece. It reminds me of Dashiell Hammett's "You don't know the whole Limburger." I do love all these 18th century idioms!
