Chuwi MiniBook X N150 now available (convertible laptop with a 10.5 inch screen and Intel N150)

The Chuwi MiniBook X N150 is small laptop with a 10.51 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS LCD touchscreen display and a 360 degree hinge that lets you fold the screen back for use in tablet mode. First announced earlier this year, it’s the latest entry in the MiniBook line of mini-laptops, and it’s the first with an Intel N150 Alder Lake-N processor.

Now the MiniBook X N150 is available for […]

I need to start a personal written-down "brands to avoid" list, so I can put Chuwi on there. I've had two Chuwi devices (a Herobox, and a Minibook), and both have had fundamental flaws that made them an unusable waste of money within about a month.

I still can't believe they released a laptop which:

1. as engineered, can't power on or charge up if the battery is flat, despite the power cable being in,
2. doesn't recognise replacement batteries are installed, so can power on with them but it will never charge them, and
3. when you look for advice on these very issues, it's always "let the battery run down and then it should be fine when you power it on". If you're very clever, you may have spotted a bit of a flaw with that...

Your post is what finally pushed me over the edge to order the #chuwi #Minibook X. Just got it today and loaded up #Fedora41 . Works great. I haven't gotten around to testing it out as a "tablet" since that wasn't my intended use for it.

They keyboard is a bit stiffer than I expected, but doesn't seem to be slowing me down at all when I'm typing.

I didn't take it outside but was next to a wall of windows this afternoon and screen was clear.

There are a few ways to keep costs down when building a mini PC. One is to opt for an inexpensive, low-power processor like an Intel Alder Lake-N chip. Another is to just use older processors that are no longer state-of-the-art.

Chuwi’s new UBox mini PC takes the latter approach. It’s a small desktop computer with attractive features including two 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports, a “full featured” […]

E10 ETBox is a 12th-gen Intel Core mini PC from Chuwi and Acer

The E10 ETBox is a compact desktop computer with a 45-watt Intel Core i5-12450H 8-core, 12-thread processor, support for up to three 4K displays, and a body that measures just 178 x 188 x 62mm (7″ x 7.4″ x 2.4″) and has an volume of 2 liters.
But honestly the most surprising thing about this little computer is that it comes from a partnership […]
