Chronos Vocal Ensemble<p>Sunday Apr 27 at 'human heart', Chronos will present Billy Joel's "Lullaby" as set by Philip Lawson. Here are Voces8 and the King's Singers singing it... join us Sunday to hear it live!</p><p>Melodically inspired by Gregorian chant, Lullaby stands out as one of the most dreamy and tender tunes in Billy Joel's catalogue. The simple, timeless melody was released in 1994.</p><p>ChronosVocalEnsemble.com</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/chronosvocal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chronosvocal</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/humanheart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>humanheart</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yeg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yeg</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yegsing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yegsing</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yeglocal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yeglocal</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/billyJoel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>billyJoel</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Lullaby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Lullaby</span></a></p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/YUumh6vgRhE" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/YUumh6vgRhE</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Chronos Vocal Ensemble<p>In this final movement of an extended four movement work, Stuart writes that it "begins with an extended image of eagles coasting through the summer sky as friends are gathered down below, sharing food and drink together. Weaving together moments and themes from across the entire work, the piece ends by recognizing the connection we all share—between people, in nature, and across the Earth."</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/humanheart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>humanheart</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/chronosvocal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chronosvocal</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yegsings" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yegsings</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yegconcerts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yegconcerts</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/lgbtqia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lgbtqia</span></a></p>

Chronos Vocal Ensemble<p>Teng recalls: "I started singing these lyrics that almost sounded like a hymn or a psalm, 'somebody hears you, somebody knows you.'
