I want to ask other #CovidConscious people:

I am considering a change to policy that would allow my clients not to have to wear a mask in treatment.

The policy change would be: proof of a negative RAT test within 24 hours of the start of their session (preferably 12).

So the onus would be on them to do a test within that window before their session. They would have the choice of either giving me a negative test result or continuing wearing a mask (which I provide).

I had not been asking them to test before this unless they had recently traveled; I've just had everyone wear masks, which has seemed the best route for all of us.

I of course would continue to be well-masked and running a HEPA filter in my work environment.

I don't usually see people back-to-back, so I'm not worried about the air exchange rate in my room between sessions, and I filter the air throughout the rooms they pass through as well.

Is this a bad idea? Did the virus "get" me and change my thinking without me realizing it? It is tricksy and false if so.

I know it's a policy change that could be abused by people whom I don't know well, but I am not seeing any new people right now.

I plan to apply it to existing clients whom I trust to be honest with me.

It would be the first time in four years that I have changed my policy, and the first time I've considered relaxing my practice boundaries since the start of #Covid.

Yet I am a little worried that I haven't considered all of the angles.

I would love to hear what you think.

"Pre-existing conditions" was practiced first on disabled people. Israel knows it works to excuse genocide because we made it the rationale for dropping covid mitigations and insurance companies used it to excuse disabled deaths long before that. This what it means to say that all forces of oppression intersect. Eugenics feeds eugenics. And eugenics is genocide.

The Massachusetts General Hospital Cardiology Division now finds that, contrary to studies showing cardiac deaths have declined since 2020, more people are dying of heart attacks since covid hit but they're dying at home rather than in hospitals.

So are people less likely to access hospitals since covid hit because of how inundated all those hospitals now are with covid cases? Or are people less comfortable seeking care in hospitals now because hospitals have become more dangerous places?
