There’s a baby bunny on our patio!

Getting female bunnies spayed is a costly and intensive process. Many vets are not experienced (or confident!) and it's already a very invasive and complicated procedure.

It’s $1,355.50 PER bunny to get each spayed. This is a staggeringly high amount for our rescue to cover, especially as we are 99.9% self-funded at this time.

Willow and Peanut went to the vet at Fauna Vet Collective in Lake Forest, CA yesterday and finally got the medical attention they've been needing!

The vet aged Willow and Peanut as being between 2-5 years old but their best guess is that both are around 4 years old. Both are little boys.

We’ve had our foster girl, Fizzgig, for a year and a half. Today, she went to her (hopefully) forever home to live with a bunny friend. Her new human understands that double-maned Lionhead rabbits need frequent haircuts.

Peanut & Willow are already looking so much better after being with the foster only a couple days. Their first vet appointment is scheduled for Tues the 6th. We're expecting the bill to be $1,000+ for spay/neuter, microchip, vaxx, deworming, & addressing Willow's condition.

With Matilda doing well, I’m letting them out into more of the house again (no bedroom access yet though; I still need to be able to grab Matilda for her medicine 2x a day).

As a treat today I picked them some herbs from the garden - and they were much appreciated!

Bunny vacations are the best. They didn’t get to go on as many adventures as usual, because these two are not bonded yet. (They are getting closer!)

The edible cabin and furniture was a hit ;) We did our best to stop their nibbling. Bramble lay under the furniture and Benny climbed on things to get a better view out the windows.

We did our daily bonding sessions on the picnic table — however BunDad and I had a bit of vacation brain one of the times. Benny tends to randomly pee sometimes, so when he lifted his tail once we plopped him in a litter box. Bramble immediately jumped in, too. They then both got a look of horror on their faces. The TEETHIES ! We plucked Bramble out and there was no harm done.

Yes, it is true — bunnies can be very territorial about their litter boxes.
