I know it's a #charity auction, and I know it's a rare model (however many of these were even made, seems many for a thing was officially unreleased), but laying down £55 for a single #BloodBowl mini is kind of inexcusable

#Thrudball retrospective

What Thrudball is also good at, is extorting money from people to donate to #charity. We've got the Orction, an auction run by the lovely Landrover (Dan), in which we sell off to the highest bidder all manner of rare or unique or just desirable #BloodBowl teams, pitches, dice, models, memorabilia and other collectibles donated by the community. There's also mini games, cake sales etc

#Thrudball retrospective 6/?
With all the people present having different preferences, different allergies or diets, ordering different sets of goodies, tickets, and generally all being eager to play 6 games of regular #BloodBowl, plus half of them 3 more of #BloodBowl7s or #Gorkamorka , #MtG or what have you on the Friday night, that's a lot.
Roster building and deadline turned out to be an obstacle to ~⅓ of coaches.
So, @nerdlings, time for my personal #Thrudball retrospective :
As one of the four core organisers of this lovely #BloodBowl event, I spent a long year and many hours on making sure everything went right, we got everything and at the best value for money, and everyone felt welcome and safe and had fun. Ofc we also aimed to squeeze as much money out of attendants for our charitable causes as we could. Was it worth it? 1/?

The paint stripping from the other week went surprisingly smoothly. I hadn't heard of LA's Totally Awesome before watching a Goobertown video, but I gave it a shot. Worked like a charm after two days in the drink (diluted about 1:3).
But up next I think I'm in the mood to paint a printed Wood Elf team I picked up a few months ago. Did a few color tests for the uniform last night and red with orange is winning. Autumnal Rumblers?
Home from ThrudBall, probably the greatest BloodBowl tournament ever. Six games of BB in two days is hard going. But not as hard work as organising and running the event. I just used two spare tiles for testing how they would look with static grass. And yeah it is totally a different beast. I might add it to the whole pitch. But Oh and that orc will become a fan for the bleachers. #BloodBowl #Nerdlings #MiniaturePainting #3DPrinting

Still printing and painting parts on the Blood Bowl Stadium. Also I run out of „Dark Wood“ Speedpaint now. I will have to restock.

Sorry for lack of updates, summer be summering. Blood bowl league starts in a few weeks, so we are full on prep. I've decided to abandon my "all skinks" squigs as lizardmen team and going for full roster squigs as lizardmen. Which means I need more big squigs (as Saurus lineman). Some new ones are printing, others getting some paint.
Last night's #BloodBowl game set a new league record. My vampires against skaven, with both teams apparently desperate not to be on offence. It was 3-3 by half time (with an OTT from the skaven that needed, amongst other rolls, a 6+ dodge) and finally finished 5-4 to the rats. 9 touchdowns in a single game is unprecedented, though from an individual team perspective we've had coaches score 6 before. Most fun game I've had in a long time, though I can point to the exact rolls that lost it for me
