There are a lot of "celebs" and certainly - if they are also on the fediverse, call them out! </p><p>Like the fediverse has a problem with being "Just about White" ( because <a href="https://beige.party/tags/blacktwitter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>blacktwitter</span></a> certainly was not welcomed here) the concept that everyone who currently publishes on substack possesses the support and resources to research, find, and move to another platform sounds - eerily privileged. </p><p>I appreciate the mentions of Ghost, and I'll pass that on to the (2) authors that I subscribe to on Substack as a suggestion. It’s multiple year investment in violence interruption and Mayor Scott’s public health approach to violence is paying off. Just recently the police did something humane. I think they actually kept some people safe from a mass shooter. One of the people here who doesn’t understand abolition posted the next day that it was a good thing we didn’t get rid of the police because they wouldn’t have been there to save those people. 3/7</p>

When I first started posting about abolition in 2022, I got the usual push back. 2/7</p>
