Usually I have others to participate with me, but since I don’t, I’m calling on those of you out there to get together in your cohorts, do 100 of something everyday with me for the month of August, and tell me how its going for you. Burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, a mile run/walk, 100 of some exercise for 31 days with me, that’d be rad! The key is unity, solidarity, so try to do them at least with one other person. Scott Campbell<p>George Jackson was assassinated in San Quentin prison on August 21, 1971. The following week, the prison released an inventory of the items in his cell – including his library of 99 books.</p><p>To mark the 53rd anniversary of his murder, we have a resource to elevate the breadth of his intellectual curiosity and the way in which he understood and engaged the world – a main reason he was seen as dangerous to the government and prison system. Jailhouse Lawyers Speak<p>The Jailhouse Lawyers Speak Political Studies and Legal Curriculum will be hitting U.S. prisons for the first time the 1st week of September! This initiative, while not cheap, is absolutely necessary in these challenging times. Another significant step forward for us <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/BlackAugust" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BlackAugust</span></a> Mailed to people in prison nationwide free from the JLS HQ, this curriculum will be followed by an exam.
