Matt Gumbley<p>Does anyone have a view on what is the best external speaker/mic with a Kenwood K1 for a <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/Baofeng" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Baofeng</span></a> or <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/Quansheng" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Quansheng</span></a> radio? A relatively inexpensive one - I know there’s a Kenwood KMC-45D but it’s a tad pricey (although probably very good). <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/HamRadio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HamRadio</span></a></p>

Bryce Belcher<p>The only thing so far that I don't like about the <a href="https://convo.casa/tags/Baofeng" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Baofeng</span></a> BF-F8HP (the newest seventh generation model) is that it does not read any of the menus. Aside from me finding out myself I was doing more research on YouTube about it. The voice guidance will read everything else, except for the menus. This means you won't be able to hear about the GPS setting, the CTCSS settings, and other stuff on the radio. Hopefully btech will release a firmware update to fix this. Because it seems like all the other models do so, like the UV5R and the UV5G plus radios. <a href="https://convo.casa/tags/Accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Accessibility</span></a></p>
