Installed a few of those movie apps onto the TV just to see what was available and was pleased to find some #Rifftrax films we'd not seen before so we've picked one to watch now. Zindy The Swamp Boy on Tubi. It's not good. Really not good.

I finally watched the first #Mythica film last night. As far as #badmovies (and #DNDmovies) go, its greatest sin is being so boring I can't believe it has five sequels. Why are you people encouraging them to keep making these films?
Watch Escape from L.A. and imagine it's Escape from El Salvador.
Biggest problem with the movie - the prez has the wrong hair color.
I have been reminded of the existence of the movie "Hawk The Slayer," and now I want to rewatch it.
(It is not a good movie. It is, in fact, a Very Bad Movie. This is why I want to watch it.)
Whew, that was lucky.
I just saw that Tom Cruise is releasing another Mission Impossible movie in May.
Thank God, I was afraid I was going to run out of things to hate this spring.
I understand from the teaser the U.S. gifts him an aircraft carrier in this one. I'd like to say that's a patently ridiculous premise but then I remembered who's in charge of the DoD these days.
Just saw Birdemic.
I have no words.
Ok, I will say that I've seen better CG overlayed in low budget games in the 1990s. Also the $10 microphone I have from like 20 years ago is better quality than whatever they used. Also I can hold a camera steadier than whoever they (didn't pay) can. Also, I have never fired a gun, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need 100,000 bullets to shoot like twenty birds. Also birds don't hover! Also eagles can't just swoop in and instantly kill a person. Also I could ask family members to do a movie with me and they would act better. Also two people can speak in the same cut... Also birds don't explode. Ever. Also kids who just watched their parents die probably would care instead of playing PSP... Also...
There's less than a day left to get in on this bit of #TTRPG hotness written by my friend Benjamin Gray and playtested, in part, by me!

You and your friends can remake the films that disappointed you, just like the pros do on popular #ActualPlay podcast "Roleplay Retcon." The only additional gaming equipment you need is a standard deck of playing cards!

My eyes hurt.
I just got through watching "Kraven The Hunter" and it is quite probably the very worst Marvel offering I have ever seen (Wait... Sorry - I just remembered I sat through ten minutes of "The Eternals." Never mind.)
Russell Crowe as a Russian crime boss was a tough sell and the critics were right, the screenplay was flat and predictable.
I knew there was a reason I stopped following the Marvel movies, somebody apparently killed all the good writers.
So I mentioned I like bad movies. Since 2009, I've been reviewing them for my site, Triskaidekafiles. It's little known, but if you enjoy cheesy cinema, you MIGHT have run across it. I have seen some absolute trash movies that bring much pain, but also some delightful obscure hidden gems that are so bad they're good. I don't shy away from some of the bigger names either, but that's not so much the focus of the site. You gotta drop in a Jason Voorhees every so often, just to get the attention of the normies. Come for the Hellraiser, stay for the Winterbeast. I do a full plot run down, and some fun facts if applicable, and then some final thoughts. If you're familiar with MST3K, Joe Bob Briggs, and other horror hosted programming, you kinda get the idea of what sort of vibe you are in for with me.
Just todaaaaaaayesterday, I posted my latest in depth look, which is a bit more fantasy than horror, but it's my site, I review what I want. It was filmed in the early 90s in the forests of Florida, for a budget of $2000 and is so clearly a bunch of friends with a love of D&D having fun and making a fantasy movie. I often say that some of the best movies are the ones made with genuine good intentions, and for some reason, their reach just exceeds their grasp, be it skill, time, or money. But, you can often tell they were trying, real effort was put in, and when it is, even in the worst made movies, that charm can come through. Passion can carry a movie a long way with me, and Way Bad Stone hits that sweet spot of trying really hard, but not quite succeeding, although this one does a much better job than most, IMO.
If you want to read my rambly thoughts you can check it out here, and feel free to dig around for the 500 other reviews I've done https://www.triskaidekafiles.com/reviews/2025/3/13/way-bad-stone-1991
New study reveals Hollywood's most hated films. Apparently, turning beloved properties into movies is like trying to herd cats... which explains why "Cats" made the list! Statistics show adaptations consistently top the "love to hate" rankings. As a cat, I demand better feline representation in cinema!

Plugging a friend's cool project:
Ever see a disappointing movie and think you could have done it better? FLOPS is a new #TTRPG gaming system all about remaking an existing film/show/whatever just the way you and your friends want. No dice needed, just a standard deck of playing cards.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/benjamingray/flops
FLOPS is written by Benjamin Gray, one of my good pals from the #ActualPlay podcast Roleplay Retcon which has been rescuing films via tabletop for many years. I had a great deal of fun helping to playtest this game, and I'm really looking forward to playing with the final version.
Tonight's #FREE screening at suburban Joy Cinema's Weird Wednesday is a personal fav: "Hillbillys in a Haunted House!" Basil Rathbone is in this! #portland #badmovies

Now playing on the DVR: The Skin Game (1931) directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Edmund Gwenn and Helen Haye. Could this possibly be Hitch's worst movie?
Why yes, yes it could.

If you want a #badMovie #badMovies this is what you need to watch.
I'm just not even sure what that was
They probably filmed the whole thing in ten days and then someone's little brother who is in a high school film class did the CGI and edited it.
The music wasn't terrible but it was predictable and melodramatic.
Lol those CGI planes
What were they even trying to defend again?
#3DaysInMalay is not worth your time unless you want an unintentional comedy.
I know I already posted about 'MERIDIAN' (also known as 'THE RAVAGING' for good reason) being FREE on #Youtube, but you've seriously GOT TO watch this trailer. This kind of movie was exactly the kind of fare Charles Band was making in the 80s and 90s and it looks AMAZING!!
