happyborg<p>This is brilliant! Over the past decade I've seen numerous discussions about <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/DNS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DNS</span></a> on the <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Autonomi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Autonomi</span></a> peer-to-peer network (formerly <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/MaidSafe" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MaidSafe</span></a> / <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/SafeNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SafeNetwork</span></a>).</p><p>Nobody mentioned this idea until MaidSafe founder David Irvine this week.</p><p>I think he just might have cracked <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/decentralized" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>decentralized</span></a> DNS. Different, but probably better. See what you think:</p><p><a href="https://github.com/dirvine/four-word-networking/tree/main#four-word-networking-human-readable-ip-address-encoding" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/dirvine/four-word-n</span><span class="invisible">etworking/tree/main#four-word-networking-human-readable-ip-address-encoding</span></a><br /><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/p2p" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>p2p</span></a></p>
