I prefer "Legacy" to "Legs" - I think the latter was the theme music for a Japanese magic TV show, and used to advertise #Tuborg lager

The Art of Noise "Into Battle with The Art of Noise" – 1983
A groundbreaking EP that redefined the sonic possibilities of sampling and electronic production. Experimental, playful, and years ahead of its time — this is the sound of the future being born in real time.

It's five in the morning!
My plans about getting up at eight to get #AllTheShit done, may end up more complicated than previously anticipated...
...if I don't get my ass to bed soon!
Well, even if I do, actually!
Hey, why don't we play a game of
"You Lose"....
Strawberry Switchblade reviewed the new singles for Smash Hits 40 years ago this week, 28 March 1985. Opinionated, playful, leftfield and really not caring what anyone might think of them, it's classic Strawberry Switchblade.
Cocteau Twins and Eddy Grant meet with their approval, Foreigner and Killing Joke really don't.
Of course, the two examples of #Fairlight-using #Debussy & #Kraftwerk fans who worked with other singers did have a cross-over of sorts - this song features a sample from "Legs" by Art of Noise - presumably Camilla Pilkington of the glass company in the sample - and has Bernard Fowler on vocals

I wonder what would have happened if The Image Of A Group had decided to plough their own furrow rather than acquiring the rights to the name "Art of Noise"? I am not really a fan of them, they didn't really sound like Art of Noise, and their #Debussy-esque creations weren't as good as the original conposer, but their debut album was interesting.
