Andi Chorley<p>The Peacock and the Sparrow<br>by I.S. Berry</p><p>An excellent debut espionage novel from a former operations officer set mainly in Bahrain but with a diversion to Cambodia, neither of which I have been to or even maybe want to go, but enjoyed reading about them. It feels realistic, is cynical and labyrinthine, which is how I like my spy fiction. Look forward to more novels from this writer.</p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/isberry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>isberry</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/spyfiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>spyfiction</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/arabspring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>arabspring</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/bahrain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bahrain</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/cambodia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cambodia</span></a></p>
