Trying out @EndeavourOS. My last #Arch based distro was #Antergos 6/7 years back before moving to Debian based distros. I also read that EndeavourOS rose up when Antergos went down.

@macleod I'd like to give #Arkanelinux a go. I also miss #Antergos. This immutable trend makes it attractive to dive in Arch realms again.
I've been an #antergos and @EndeavourOS user in the past and I like what they are doing. Their latest blog post I have to say was *awkwardly* presented and could lead to much confusion. I get that they were trying to be eye catching and clever but I think it's just come across as awkward.

They hold back Arch packages to test them for stability before moving them into their repos. #Antergos is more of a graphic installer for Arch. They directly use the Arch repos plus one of their own that holds a couple of Antergos-specific packages.
@hund@linuxrocks.online I agree with #Antergos. I prefer #Arch and have it on most of my installs but I decided to go with Antergos when setting up my most recent PC last August. I think it is a great alternative for Arch users who have learned their way around The Arch Way but are getting too old to be bothered with starting from scratch every time.
@kennetmattfolk@mastodon.cloud What about #Antergos? Any #Arch based distro should be able to use one of the AUR helpers like #yaourt on the command line or #pamac-aur graphically to install packages. Opinion: Much better than having a mess of PPAs and snaps and flatpacks and appimages and....

@eax You live in Japan? Damn you living the dream right now Sir! Arch and Alpine huh? Dope, Dope! The closest I have gotten to using #ArchLinux, was spinning up #Antergos in a VM. I liked it and the AUR was GREAT.
Ok fellow nerds. I'm jumping back into #linux. I've used #ubuntu, #mint, #debian, #antergos, and #fedora.
I want a daily driver that has great codec and multimedia support and hardware support. I do most of my stuff through a browser, cause 2022. But want options for good software, easy integrations, and ease of use.
Looking at #mint again, #zorinOS, or #manjaro.
I like #gnome desktop.

I used to run #antergos on my main rig and then switched to #ubuntu1804. On one of my laptops, I recently installed #fedora and am loving the pure #gnome feel and semi-rolling upgrade model. I first started my adventures with #linux with #suse back in version 9.2. Having been under impressed with #ubuntu2004, I am debating between #opensuse and #fedora for my main rig. Semi-rolling is kinda nice!
Help me decide the next distro for my main rig, daily driver workstation.
Was fun for a while but fixed my /etc/lsb-release. Good night my sweet #Antergos prince

@victorhck Nunca he conseguido instalar #Antergos, y he intentado muchas veces. Siempre había un problema grave (pero no siempre el mismo) durante la instalación, y eso en varias maquinas. Así que no sé si valía la pena o no... y ahora jamás sabré.
