Hellorld! This is a test posting from my #Commodore #Amiga #A1200 using the #Amidon #Mastodon client. I´m curious if it works...
#Amidon v1.3 is released: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amidon/releases/latest
This update fixes a weird bug, where opening the Settings window in a non-RTG screen would cause the app to stop responding.
Now you can connect to #Mastodon from your #amiga regardless of having an RTG card or not! :)
Make sure you check the rest of the requirements however: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amidon
I have just posted this from an Amiga!
@fabrizioradica e l'autore di #Amidon è qui su mastodon:
ну чтож, глючновато,но занятно!
Ohhhh, I am publishing this via an amiga! Woah #amidon is so cool :3
I had some time today, so I brought #Amidon up to v1.2: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amidon/releases
This version fixes some bugs with anonymous mode browsing, and also brings support for the latest AmiSSL version.
The issues of failing to connect to some servers due to certificate validation should be fixed now.
Finally, there's an update to the curl plugin, so it can now utilize the latest AmiSSL and certificates available.
The next update of #Amidon will include this.
Hopefully, it will also include fixes for the two known bugs so far. :)
1er test de #Amidon depuis AmigaOS 3.1 !
#Amidon 1.1 RC is now online, for testing: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amidon/releases this is meant for testing, once that is done, the release will be changed from "Pre-release" (and it might be updated with any fixes).
#Amidon v1.1 is (probably) ready to pass the user tests. Changes since v1.0:
- Implemented own Profile view
- Added more icons (GlowIcon, 4-color icon, MagicWB)
- Eliminated dependency on the Hyperlink MUI class, redesigned login window/process
- Only open the Login window if a server was specified
- Fixed crash when trying to save settings without having logged in (Anonymous mode)
If you have anything else to add, best do it now (or soon!), if you want it fixed in the next release!
@thedaemon There's a template inside the MagicWB package from Aminet (http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/MagicWB21p).
I've already designed a basic one, but it's not the best looking icon in the world :)
You can see what I've done so far in the #Amidon repository: https://github.com/BlitterStudio/amidon/tree/main/icons
Anyone wants to help design a MagicWB icon for #amidon ?
I have a GlowIcon and a PNG icon ready, for the next release. I think it would be nice to include a MagicWB one, since that's also very common.
Perhaps also a 4-color basic one as well? For those running in bog-standard PAL screenmodes...
