Paolog<p>For the past 8 years, I have been working as a side-project at an <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/OpenSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OpenSource</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/news" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>news</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/aggregation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>aggregation</span></a> platform meant for private use and without commercial purposes.</p><p>Its peculiarity is that it tries to grab the full text of all articles it aggregates, which admittedly is borderline behavior w.r.t. the copyright holders... but it's done in the interest of the platform users: to protect their data, while making it possible to process, search, order and filter the news for them.</p><p>Today marks a new start in the story of the news aggregation platform: faced with the tough decision to either kill it or rewrite the code from scratch and make it cloud-native...
