LineageOS vs iPhone for privacy? Currently have a 7plus and thinking about making the change across to Android. Any recommended devices?

Do not install Google Apps. Just use F-Droid.

If you need to use applications that are proprietary or require Google Play Services, you can use microG.

I recommend using the nanoDroid package. Makes the setup easier.

@zidanerick I've been using my Xiaomi Note 5 Pro (it's not supported anymore, using an unofficial build) with LingeageOS 16 and NanoDroid. It works really well, even DRM content works which is surprising.
