Whoa. KDE Connect is bad @ss. Using the Android share thingie to KDE Connect app is awesome. Media control is handy. Notifications on the PC is cool. Running commands on the PC is also cool. Sending files is super easy. Very nice. #KDE #KDEConnect #Android
Let's try to be more like a community and less like a group of cliques in the same space. i'd like to call on the Mastodon community at large to spend less time subtooting each other - because let's face it, that amounts to gossiping behind someone's back - and more time interacting and finding positive ways to talk to one another. We have the opportunity to reshape our environment for the better - let's start with this.
Currently, the only way to check the laptop battery is to lock the screen and view the percentage displayed on SDDM, as KDE Plasma has given up trying to communicate with the battery. There's a different battery-related issue every time I boot the damn thing. I guess I need to stop running hardware so old it's basically steam powered. It's like a drunk who's always on the point of falling over, but still manages to walk even though they're leaning like crazy. 🙄

Idea: Some sort of tagging system for Fediverse posts, allowing anyone to tag something
So, maybe a user can create a tag activity for a post, which all of their followers can see, perform various operations on (maybe you automatically CW or ignore content that your friends have tagged with certain things, maybe you boost a tag to spread the tag's association with a post), and can be stuck to the post by an instance admin (for that instance only) or the OP.
My wife wasn't picking up the phone so I cranked up the volume on my home machine and ran espeak. Super effective! I'm pretty sure it was the stuff of nightmares because she keeps mentioning how bad it scared her. 👻

TIL: if your capacitor is big enough, and you're dealing with oscillating current (like in signals), you can treat the capacitor as a short circuit. (just a piece of wire.)
Even though current can't flow *through* a capacitor, the matching charge buildup on each end can make it appear that it does, until its capacitance limit is reached.
