The seems to be developing super fast! There's an amazing amount of work being done on linux on the phone for the past two years, who would have expected that? :o

Got the best parts kit ever today. The rest of the parts to change my mainboard into a full phone :D

For the people wondering about the status of the shipment. @lunduke has written a post on purisms forums. It explains that even when someone is in the batch, they may still receive an email about modem selection. And reminding people to respond to the previously sent batch selection email.
This just might clear things up for the people fearing the worst ;)

Looks like app support is close to working on for me. I just tried fedilab and tusky to see which one works, but alas neither does for me.
Still, at least i can now add an account and sometimes scroll through the timeline a bit, great progress anyway, can't take long now.

Pff still looking at the language, but it turned out to be much harder than I expected. I mean it looks like a great language to use because of the problems it solves, but it's just so hard to do anything in it compared to python :(

I put some sour herrings in a sandwich bag, so i could put them on my bread later, but the sandwich bag ruptured and now my laptop bag is full of sour herring vinegar. It smells awful 😭

So the foundation has been sued by a company, whose only purpose seems to be to sue other companies over the use of patents that they didn't even invent themselves.. Why are such patent trolls even legal? :(

The first Librem 5 smartphones are shipping puri.sm/posts/first-librem-5-s “This is a big moment, not just for us as a company, but for everyone concerned about issues of privacy, security, and user freedom. The Librem 5 represents years of work, building the software and hardware required to make this phone a reality.” - Todd Weaver, founder and CEO of #Purism #Librem5 #Librem5Aspen #Linux #LinuxPhone #LinuxMobile #GNOME #FOSS

Yesterday was software freedom day and I didn't even know :( looks like i need to hang in the local timeline some more!

Btw, If anyone knows of any good image stacking software for linux I'd love to hear it :) I used deep sky stacker under wine, and autostakkert for video frames under wine, but something native would have been a much better choice.

I wonder if taking an image of the andromeda galaxy with nothing but a dslr is possible for a beginner.. Now that the nights are finally getting a bit longer again it seems like a good target here in the netherlands :)

What the.. Richard stallman, the founder of free software and responsible for a slew of free software projects, resigned from the free software foundation because some people apparently know what free software "should" be?
Why hasn't any of them stepped up and filled in his role then?
The pioneer of free software os being forced to lay down his life's work, and this is somehow seen as a "good" thing for the free software community?
Made out to be "sexist" because of a bad taste in jokes. Come on
