Got myself a PC upgrade: New 7 3700x CPU (8 cores, 16 threads) + DDR4 RAM + NVMe SSD.

Quick comparison "benchmark" of building all @sigrok components from source:

* Laptop (Ryzen 5 3500U, DDR4, SATA SSD): 6 minutes.

* New PC: 2.5 minutes.

I'm curious how much faster a full build will be; guess I'll find out soon.

@uwehermann I heard Linux graphics works really well on AMD

What's the laptop model?

@jhol I'm currently using a Lenovo E595, haven't really tested out all the hardware support tbh, but it works well enough for my purposes.

@uwehermann Isn't lineage os just for mobile? I wish I could get the new Ryzen line of CPUs, but I am very happy with my Ryzen 2200G

@cavaliertusky Ah, sure, I was referring to the compile time of (which I'm running on my phone).

My last build on the laptop took more than 7 hours, that should be a lot faster now.

@uwehermann @sigrok Welcome to the Linux Ryzen users family(?) :D
I'm running Ryzen 7 1700 at my desktop. Despite some hanging (which I can't make sure aren't a GPU fault) I love it to bits (pun not intended).
