It's been a busy weekend! The first part of "Building responsive apps for #Linux smartphones with #GTK and #libhandy" has just been published, covering:
- setting up a Gtk+libhandy dev environment
- creating your first *responsive* GTK app
- bundling as #Flatpak for deployment
and more
You can find the tutorial here: https://tuxphones.com/tutorial-developing-responsive-linux-smartphone-apps-libhandy-gtk-part-1/
@tuxdevices Will the same be done for Qt and the various responsive toolkits like Kirigami?
@bart My Qt experience is sadly very basic so if I wrote it, it would probably be a terrible tutorial. But if anyone volunteers, why not? :P
@tuxdevices Well, time to learn then 😜
@tuxdevices thanks for this post. Can't wait to read the following parts!
@ju Thanks! They will probably take a long while to come (due to upcoming exam sessions that will keep me busy for a couple of months probably) but they will
@tuxdevices take your time! :)
@tuxdevices Thank you a lot for the time and work you put into this tutorial. Very interesting and educational.
