People are really good at complaining about stuff that is both #OpenSource and free! They don’t pay for it, or even try to help out, but they still have the audacity to demand things be done in a certain way or require support.
That’s rich.
That’s privilege.
It’s disgusting.
It’s burning out amazing inventors and kind people who donate their time and often own money to give something back.
@troglobit I guess it's the way to ask things that makes the difference. The two FOSS I use most, Inkscape and Penpot, encourage feature suggestions.
In any case, when you do something, whether you work for free or not, there will always be someone who wanted it done differently and will have no problem pointing it out!
@findut it sure is. We’re all people behind these masks. If you act graceful about it, not demanding stuff, that makes the whole difference! Discussions and suggestions for features, fixes, and what not are often really useful!
What’s annoying is the schoolyard bullies and other entitled users demanding changes, fixes, or features. But thankfully it’s not that common.
