Print an access_log with indicator chart bars under each request line to show the size of the data transfer using log() to keep things "in control".
awk -v cols=$(tput cols) '{e=int(log($10)*5); print("\x1b[42m" substr($0, 1, e) "\x1b[0m" substr($0, e+1) )}' access_log | less -SR

It's weird how many crypto enthusiasts believe it "solves" money. "Money 2.0" can't solve its inherent issues, only post-money mindsets can.
It's like...instead of getting currency from a foreign country on an exchange because you have "faith" in its "value", you get it from a country-less entity. Wether you like that organization or not, they can't solve the issues that plague global capitalism because they are built under the same basic principles. (1/2)

The older I get, the more alienated I feel to the Linux community.

I understand that generations after me have a different view on software and hardware, I just wish theirs wouldn't be so bad.

It's all about convenience these days. Why write good and optimized software when RAM is so cheap? Who cares if your web browser uses 4 GB of RAM? Buy more RAM stupid!

Dear designer friends, I am looking for information about this mid-century lounge chair. I have looked at thousands of google image search results to no avail.
I believe it's a Dutch design, newly upholstered.
Anyone?

The Dark Lord is slain.
Your companions slap your back while you watch his blood trickle down your blade.
"Congratulations," your best friend says. "What will be your title?"
"None."
"What do you mean?"
"I'll dismantle the whole thing."
"Not take over? Why?"
"Nobody's tried it."

Wasn't there some effort to port a SailfishOS Signal client to the Linux Phone ecosystem? Are there any updates on that or is it dead by now?

on the subject of usb-c have you seen pcb-only usb ports? scribe the right sigils into your circuit board design program and choose the right thickness and you can just plug a cable straight into your pcb with no port hardware

i ❤️❤️❤️ hacks like this

I thought PowerPC were dead, but apparently not - there's new laptops made to run Linux that will come later this year with PowerPC architecture powerpc-notebook.org/en/ #linux #hardware #laptop #powerpc

I'm looking to rewrite an android app of mine which I neglected for a while.
I've gotten a lot of recommendations for react native and flutter.

Is there anything good not owned by google/Facebook etc?

PSA: if something uses autotools, either install it from a system package (or make one), or set --prefix=/tmp for easier clean-up
