Found a bug in my software. Discovered it's a problem in one of my dependencies. Reported it.

They decided it was a bug in one of their dependencies. They reported it.

Less than a week after the initial report: Bug fixed, then bug fixed, then bug fixed.

I've never seen that before.

It brings me joy to know that there's someone out there who decided to name a piece of malware "DADBOD"

How to improve emacs performances?
Recently I have been trying to reduce the size of my emacs configuration to keep "the minimum" I need. The ultimate goal is to improve the performances, especially to have smooth editing. I am using emacs in GUI (in a 4k screen if it's matter), compiled from sources and my configuration is there raw.githubusercontent.com/Khad

For those recently introduced to , it used to be called "Poche" (french for the word pocket) but because of Pocket (formerly named Read It Later), they had to change the name.

Also, the name Wallabag comes from a portmanteau of wallaby and bag (like a handbag).

Shackle and magit, how to bring them together
I'd like to retain the magit popup windows, but still use shackle to have more control over how new windows are opened. They seem to not get along by default, though. How do I fix that?

BNF and related forms seems a rather awkward way to express grammars. Is anyone aware of work that looks into other representation? (Equivalent ones, not talking about stuff like PEG or combinators.)

One of my favourite things is the research done into women and tech. Now of course this is for women who visit pornhub and where pornhub could detect gender.

Women are MORE likely than men to use Linux. Which, when looking at community involvement in FOSS seems off.... which is sort of why Inclusion Work in FOSS is so damn critical. We can fix this.

Linux gaming: Proton 3.16-8 out.

Included DXVK 1.0 brings performance improvements, enhancements to this D3D10 / D3D11-over-Vulkan layer (to smoothly play M$ DirectX10 & 11 titles).

Most high profile games are playable on Linux now via Steam Play. Majority of remaining unplayable ones are affected by some junk DRM / anti-cheat which doesn't work in Wine.

Valve is expected to transition Proton to Wine 4.x re-base soon.

Maybe you have suggestions for alternatives...

1) we are all in different countries so this is challenging (skype is doing OKish, but at least we can see/hear each other)

2) simplicity... not all of them are tech savvy (for example might feel weird)

3) true software would be a plus (seems like is but not real )

4) group video call encryption would also be a plus (afaik does not provide this)
