In France, Christians used to be forbidden to own the "source code" of the bibles (ie translations).

@tomosaigon on the contrary; they could have just the source code (i.e. the original bible in greek), not the compiled binaries (the translations).

@crappo Maybe it's like having access to decompiled assembly but not allowing annotated C... (maybe bad analogy)
