Anyone in the FediBrain know of a protocol (or app) which (ab)uses mail as a transport protocol? So you could send messages to an address but a higher level protocol could decode into something beyond mail.

@tomosaigon Git, if you automate a couple of things? And there were some HTTP over email servers in the early days, but they're not really around any more.

@wizzwizz4 Great point, both. And I guess mail is optional/alternative for both of those. Others mentioned Delta Chat which is chat built on top of mail. But git shows that we don't strictly need web for everything.
