FYI: OVH data centre fires
apparently, they had a major fire at the #OVH data centres in Strasbourg, France, with one building (SBG2) completely destroyed and damage spread to the other three, with part of SBG1 being destroyed.
I know that a few folks were hosting stuff with OVH and this means that it'll take a while for them to be rebooted, if they weren't completely destroyed. things hosted on the destroyed hardware will be irrecoverable if they didn't have external backups.
hoping that all the folks affected here either have backups, or weren't hosted in the destroyed building. apparently there's some speculation that it was a major power failure that resulted in the fire, which is why their fire suppression systems didn't help.
