I wonder how many @mapillary data creators will be having second thoughts now that they'll be directly feeding the @Facebook monster?

Strangely enough, Ireland didn't erase their history when they tore down this statute of their oppressor. They were starting a new chapter in their history. Sounds like a reasonable thing to do.

1948 - Ireland becomes a republic and Queen Victoria is removed from outside parliament. 32 years later Sydney was looking for a spare Queen Vic and the Irish loaned it to us. This very severe statue now sits out front…

Fair comment reflecting my experience of Australia Day. Since politicians have taken it upon themselves to push their version of what Australia means it has become much more divisive.

I *love* Australia.

And I love we are not like America with pledges and putting our hand on our heart during the anthem and ending each speech with God Bless America.

I used to also love when Aus Day was not …

Holy shit, the @CurtinUni@twitter.com student guild @CurtinGuild@twitter.com second hand bookstore must be the *worst* ecommerce site I have seen since the dotcom crash. The UI looks at least a decade older than the well outdated underlying platform. Incredible: thesecondhandbookshop.com.au/

The crew from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 509 Wyoming recorded this video showing the moment their truck was overrun by the bushfire burning South of Nowra. The crew was forced to shelter in their truck as the fire front passed through.

Shit. I still haven't got on top of v12.

This is just supposed to be a silly meme, but it's a stupid thing to say. Think about the value system that is being framed here. Is that what we want to teach our children?

When today's toddlers are pushed into the workforce in a decade, they'll be needing GoLang instead.
