In my latest blog for Startpage, I look at why even though privacy laws are good, we shouldn't be relying on lawmakers to protect us.

A great law today can be overturned tomorrow.

That's why we should be choosing services that act ethically because it's the right thing to do, not because they are being compelled.

Pushed a large update to TryLinux.today

Added a new hardware section for Linux computers and cleaned up some inactive OS recommendations.

This is my day job work station (MacBook Pro). No real work area since my wife works from home and has the home office. So I work at the kitchen table for now. #showyourworkspace

I (Dan Arel) - work in the health care industry so if I have been MIA the last few weeks, it's because my day job has kept me buried with all that's happening with COVID-19.

Just know, the site is up, active, and we care deeply about your privacy still!

“Tech rights” can’t even figure out how to use an SSL certificate. But sure, pretend he’s a news source for privacy.

PSA: If you do use #Brave browser, be aware it doesn't block #Facebook or #Twitter trackers

For Facebook tracking Brave white-lists

According to Brave developers, it's white-listed due to causing Facebook login to break if blocked.
