Well, I always had this feeling, since wireless ones have batteries and must be relatively more sophisticated than the wired ones. Now this article made it clearer.

iFixit · Why Wires Beat Wireless Every TimeBy Charlie Sorrel

@thinkfree im not arguing whether this is right or wrong, but i have a couple of points to the counter:

- wireless is situationally superior to wired: such as when running, etc. You can't find a wired headset i would take my shockz OpenRun for when it comes to exercising and moving through traffic

- superior audio quality? Sure but before we go off on a HiFi rant let's just recall that that analogue signal comes from a digital playback.

@thinkfree and finally, that superior audio quality? Well if you have a good pair of headphones, Bluetooth will give you an audio experience thats good enough that they'll be virtually no difference listening to Spotify (or whatever) on Bluetooth vs wired...

@rasmus91

- Agreed. Wireless is convenient in some cases. (I don't know how comfortable it is to flow the wire from inside the t-shirt like in old times :D )

- Okay, if both the audio qualities are same, the wireless one might be costlier, difficult to repair and less eco-friendlier than the wired ones
