Wow its amazing all the apps/services @nextcloud can replace:

Calendar, contacts, todo list, Google Drive/Dropbox, bookmark sync, Google Keep/notes, Evernote, Pocket/ReaditLater, RSS reader, password manager, Google Photos, internet radio, Google Hangouts/chat, project management, eBook reader/manager, even documents and spreadsheets with OpenOffice or Collabora.

Can't wait till I get everything switched over!

@brandon that is what Greece had trouble with by having euro.

@davidblinux Google had several GB (~50 GB) of data about me. I found interesting things there (such as all places I visited before I turned off that 'feature')

@brandon I think such thing would be great if it was made by some trustful goverment and 100% free (sofrware) as a replacement for banking systems and not as replacement for currency. Goverments care about people way more than Facebook after all. Maybe EU could make a crypto-euro if they care about privacy (with their GDPR)?

@sbanwart on fdroid you can find so many awesome apps, because there is no cappy ad-filled all-permissions-wanting malware.

What is your homeserver of choice? Do you know any reliable public homeserver or do you host your own?

@ndegruchy @Fatih19 don't fall into the all or nothing thing... every step closer to freedom is worth making, and makes it harder to do mass surveillance. Privacy and software freedom are a spectrum, it's not something you either have or don't have

@kev I use Privacy badger. Actually it isn't an ad blocker, but tracker blocker, but most ads are trackers, so it blocks them. addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef
