Writing this toot from my "new" 2012 Mac Mini running macOS Monterey. So far things are running pretty well.

- 12GB RAM
- 500GB HDD

Need to swap out the HDD for an SSD and also need a DisplayPort adapter so I'm not stuck at 1080 on my 4K monitor.

Thanks to the Open Core Legacy Patcher[1] for keeping old hardware alive!

@jason123santa Well I mean a simple SSD will be insanely faster than the default HDD

@tdarb were you posting about this a week or two ago?

I installed Big Sur on an old MacBook Air and am publishing a piece on it tomorrow, but I couldn’t remember who I saw post about it to cite them.
