You know the 80:20 rule, right? In it's more like 99:1 The top 1% of crunchers has crunched much more than the other 99%. With good equipment you can get into the top 10% in maybe a week. But then it gets quickly much harder to climb in the rankings. BOINC is not as distributed as it was planned. Another interesting tidbit.

Also, I think BOINC is the most obscure of my hobbies, I haven't yet convinced anyone to join me 😅
